Ouzo, olive oil, wine, village life — the things that make Lesvos unlike anywhere else
One of the oldest and most respected ouzo producers on the island, distilling since 1860. Factory tour shows the full process — copper stills, anise, island herbs. Tasting included. Buy directly at source.
Minión Ouzo Museum combines a working distillery with a proper museum covering the history of ouzo-making on Lesvos. Interactive, well-presented, tasting included. Do both distilleries in one morning.

Award-winning Lesvos extra virgin olive oil, tasting led by a sommelier. Walk the groves, learn the pressing process, taste multiple varieties. Changes how you think about olive oil permanently.
Located near Mytilene, this winery produces high-quality wines from Lesvos's unique grape varieties — Mandilaria, Fokiano and more. Dry reds, whites, rosé. Lesvos wine is a genuine hidden gem.
Produces the rare Chydiriotiko grape — dry white, red, and orange wines with extraordinary aromatic profiles. Volcanic soil, tiny production, serious wine. The orange wine (honey and forest fruit) is the one to try.
One of the most beautiful traditional villages on Lesvos. Steep cobblestone streets, medieval ruins, potters, woodcarvers, the famous Virgin Mary church. The kafeneions under the plane trees are exactly what you imagine authentic Greece to look like.
Famous for pottery since ancient times. The Taxiarchis Monastery next to the village has a unique icon made from soil and blood (local legend) — a major pilgrimage site. Easy 30-min stop on the way to Skala Sykaminias.
Set in an olive grove on the hillside above Molyvos. Famous for slow-roasted rooster with handmade pasta. Biodome atmosphere, slow music, very warm hospitality. The one evening meal worth going out for if you fancy a night out.
The salt pans, marshes and Gulf of Kalloni are one of Europe's most important birdwatching sites. Flamingos, herons, kingfishers, bee-eaters, black-winged stilts. Aristotle studied biology here in the 4th century BC.
A perfectly preserved 14th-century Ottoman bridge spanning a river gorge. Still standing after 700 years, 8.5 metres long, extraordinarily beautiful. The legend: the architect's wife was embedded in the structure to make it strong.
